It's Link Party Time

I'm holding my link parties over at The Sunburnt Cow. The parties run every Wednesdays through Sundays. You can link up just about anything: what you've made; what you have for sale (as long as it's in a blog post); anything antique, vintage, prim - whether you've made it or not; even recipes. So let's party!

Chilly No Mo' and Link Party

Yay, the furnace guy came late this afternoon, and we now have heat again! Whoot! It was getting really cold in the house, especially since it was snowing last night and the past three days haven't gotten above 35. A couple very small cheapo (around $15) portable heaters can only heat so much of a room.

We're still getting a fair amount of water in the basement, so I have to regularly check on it and click on the old sump pump. It won't go on of its own accord.

Just a reminder that I have a link party going on over at the Sunburnt Cow. You can link up handmade items - whether you have them for sale or not. You can also link up anything you have that's vintage/old fashioned/prim.

Busy Day

Whew, today has been busy. First I randomly chose the winner in my giveaway, then set up my weekly link party. Did some more work online, then spent a lot of time in the kitchen.

Normally, I'm not all too thrilled about spending hours in there, but I had a lot to do, and the time went fairly quickly. I felt all productive - lol! Made the dogs' food, the cats' food, and some human food for my son and me (i.e., lunch). Then made some blueberry bread and triple layer cookie bars. I'll have recipes for both of those on my Lazy Chef Recipes blog in the next few days.

Took pictures of some lovely goodies I got in the mail from Dee, my swap buddy. And now...I'm sitting down and relaxing. Hopefully the son will want to watch some more "24" later tonight. (We stream a lot of stuff from Netflix).

Haven't been able to do much in the way of crafting lately. Waah! Hopefully that'll change soon, as I want to spend a day sometime this week in doing a project that's been banging around in my head.

Finished up all my writing projects that were immediately due yesterday. It's good to be able to make my weekly financial goals in just 5 hours. I wish I'd have more of those writing gigs, but...I have enough. I'm grateful for the freedom the ones I have give me to pursue blogging, marketing, and crafting. :)

The Sunburnt Cow Link Party and Contest

Right now, the Sunburnt Cow link party is going on. What's different about this link party is that you can link up blog posts revolving around items you have for sale - as well as general blog posts of items you've made.

Also, on April 1st, we'll be kicking off the First Udderly Amazing New Shop Contest! This is open for shops six months or less and will help get new online shops some much needed exposure. If you don't qualify, please participate and support the newbies by voting for your favorite shop during the second round. :)

What You Have for Sale Link Party

I'm hosting a link party on one of my other blogs where you can post up to four items that you have for sale. These items would have to be in a blog post - as is usual for a link party. Please come and join the fun - showing off what you currently have for sale and looking at other pretties! It doesn't have to be decor or prim related - just anything handmade that you have for sale. :)

Join the fun here!

Prim Decor Link Party

There's a prim decor link party going on at my other blog. This happens every Sunday and runs through Wednesday.

Please only link up primitive (i.e., very old fashioned and antique) looking items you have - whether you've made them or not.

If you do not understand what prim is, check on the other participants. It is NOT something you've remade to look more modern. It has to look old and well worn and primitive.

Hope to see you there with your prim goodies!

Prairie Patch's First Ever Perfectly Prim Link Party

Since I've had a lot of experience in marketing online, I share many tips on my other blog. I recently came upon the amazing discovery of link parties! They bring so much traffic to your blog, as I wrote about, and as many of you know!

I haven't seen a link party which is devoted to showing off people's prims, so I decided to make one. Today - and for the next several days - I'll be having the Prairie Patch's first ever perfectly prim link party. It's my plan to do this on a weekly basis, though the first party will last a little longer. Following week's may have specific themes, but this first one will be anything you want to show off that's prim-related.

This will be a great way for those who are into various crafts that aren't prim related to get some exposure for your blog in the prim circle. What's prim, you may be asking? Anything that's antique or antique looking. You can look at the various thumbnails in the link party for a better idea.

So let's have some fun!!
